Q: What does a business holiday card actually cost?

Depends on the tier the design sits in. On our Good tier, with envelopes and imprinting included: under $2.85 a card at 100, under $2.35 at 250, under $2.18 at 500 and under $1.85 at 1,000 — before the early-order discount. Better runs $2.20–$3.40 and Best $2.58–$3.99 across the same range. Logo setup is $30, and the card and the envelope are separate setups. Your proof is free. Holding production until you approve it is an optional $20, and a physical sample card mailed to you before the run is $45.

Q: How does the early-order discount work?

The early-order discount comes off on top of our everyday prices, on a published schedule of deadlines that runs from October into December - the earlier you order, the larger the discount. The live rate and the date it ends are shown in the banner at the top of every page at bestholidaycards.com. The discount applies to the cards themselves; services such as addressing, mailing, logo setup and proofs are charged as listed. Imprinting is always free.

Most card companies make you build the whole order before they'll show you a number. Here's the number.

Price schedule

Per card, with envelopes and imprinting included, before the early-order discount. Every design sits in one of three tiers — which one is shown on the card’s own page in the catalog.

This is the whole schedule from 100 to 10,000. Your per-card price drops at each quantity in the table and holds until the next one — 475 cards cost the same per card as 250. We price in 25s from a 25-card minimum; under 100, your price is confirmed in the cart. The figure that counts is the one in your cart, and you'll see your proof before you pay.

Everyday pricing, and the discount comes off on top

Some companies raise their card prices in October and then advertise BIG DISCOUNTS in November. We never understood the point of that.

The table above is our everyday price. The early-order discount comes off on top of it — 20% by November 16, 10% by December 11. Not a sale price dressed up as a discount. The real price, less a real discount.

Why we do it that way: an order placed in September is genuinely easier for us to produce well than one placed on December 3rd. We'd rather pass that back than manufacture urgency.

Every season since the 80s teaches the same thing, and it is worth repeating: the people who order in September are calmer in December.

Is imprinting extra?

No. Up to four lines on the card and four on the envelope are included, in the ink colors coordinated to the design you pick and more than 100 font styles. Imprinting the card is free — it's in the price, not an add-on. A logo is $30 the first time — the card and the envelope are separate setups — and free on re-orders.

What about a custom card?

For orders of 1,000 or more we'll work with you to design and produce a card that's yours alone. Call 833-682-8250 or send us the details and we'll talk it through.

Are these prices final?

For cards and envelopes, the calculator uses the same price breaks as our store, from 100 to 10,000 — so the card price it shows is the card price you'll see in the cart. Shipping here is an estimate. Your exact total, including shipping to your address and any paper-stock upgrade, is confirmed in the cart before you pay, where you'll also see your proof.
