Holiday Cards for Golfers — the one card in the pile that's about them

Golf courses, country clubs, pro shops and outing organizers — plus the advisors, agents and brokers whose best clients spend Saturday morning on a course.

100 cards$2.85under, per card
250 cards$2.35under, per card
500 cards$2.18under, per card
1,000 cards$1.85under, per card

Good-tier pricing, with envelopes and imprinting included. Early-order discounts come off on top of these prices — 25% by October 15, then 20% by November 16, then 10% by December 11. Better and Best designs cost more — see all three tiers and price your order.

A card about their game beats a card about your season

Forty cards arrive on a desk in December and thirty-nine of them are a wreath. The one with a snowman blowing a putt on the eighteenth is the one that gets turned around and shown to somebody. That is the entire mechanism, and it only works because the card is about the recipient's life instead of your calendar.

A club's list problem runs backwards

Most businesses struggle to know where their customers live. A club knows every member's address, sees them all season, and then goes quiet exactly when dues renew and the member is deciding whether they played enough to justify it. A card in early November lands in that gap, before the invoice does.

Send it only to the people who actually play

A golf card to someone who doesn't golf reads as a mailing list, which is the one thing it must never read as. Pull the golfers off your list and send them these — everybody else gets a straight business design. The order minimum is 25 cards in increments of 25, so a split order costs you nothing but ten minutes with the list.

Cards for golfers

Four golf designs, every one of them Good tier — $1.85 a card with envelopes at 1,000. It is a small family and we won't pretend otherwise, but it is four more than most card companies carry. Prices shown are per card with envelopes at 100 — they come down at every quantity break.

Questions we get from golfers

Should we send a golf card to a client who doesn't golf?
No. The card works because it says “I know something about you.” Sent to the wrong person it says the opposite — that you bought a box and mailed it at everybody. Split the list and send the golfers these and everyone else something plain. We can imprint two different designs on one order.
Can a course or club put its own logo on the card?
Yes. Logo setup is $30 the first time and free on every re-order after, and imprinting itself is always free. If you want the logo on the cover rather than with your imprint, look at the logo card designs — those are built around a logo window.
When should a club mail?
Early November, ahead of your dues or renewal notice — not with it. The card's whole value is that it arrives without an invoice attached. Order in September or early October and the early-order discount takes 25% off the card price through October 15.
Do you have more golf designs coming?
The golf family grows slowly because golf art is easy to do badly. We would rather carry four that a member will actually pin up than twenty that look like clip art. If you want something specific — your clubhouse, your signature hole — that is a custom job and we can talk about it. Call and ask for Jim.

Not sure where to start?

Tell us who you're sending to and roughly how many. We've been doing this since 2003 — we'll point you at the three or four designs that actually fit, and you can take it from there.
